Learning Design
Our core service is learning design. We take your (existing) content and transform it into an amazing learning experience, using the latest technology to develop highly engaging, interactive content. We don't just care about content being engaging, but it should be memorable, impactful and enriching.
Production
A phenomenal learning experience requires engaging, experiential learning content and activities. To create engaging learning, you need the right creative people to translate your content into something that grabs the attention of the learner. We take your (existing) content and transform it into highly stimulating learning assets aligned to your own brand and style.
Strategy
Execution without strategy is like driving without a map. You need a clear roadmap to help you identify where you are going. We assist top global organisations with their strategy and the fulfilment of their mission. Execution of strategy is enabled through effective change management and leadership.
Our core is learning design. We are passionate about pedagogy, learning outcomes, objectives, scaffolding, chunking and effective assessments. In our opinion, you can create learning as exciting as you want it to be, with all the gamification and fun you can sprinkle on top, however if it does not aid the learning, then why do it?
Because we are a relatively small agency, there's a good chance that you'll get to work with majority of the company at any given time of the project. At the beginning of the project, we will assess our capacity and make sure you get the right people for the job. Some jobs have different requirements and need different strengths. We put together the best team to meet the outcomes of the project.
Our home is Cape Town, South Africa. However, we have representation in Dubai, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Therefore, Cape Town AKA Silicon Cape is a hub of great EdTech innovation, collaboration, services and opportunities.
Most LMSs have similar functionalities, but one size does not fit all. We consider ourselves LMS agnostic. We recommend whichever LMS is best suited for the learning experience that our clients desire according to their budgetary requirements. This forms part of the Needs Analysis. We have worked with many LMSs including Moodle, Canvas, D2L, Neo, Matrix, Wordpress, Thinkific and many others.

Compared to other agencies, we have a smaller team, but we believe in a more personalised partnership with our clients than a simple transactional relationship. We enjoy working and collaborating with our clients producing the highest quality of education.

That's a great question that we love answering. We are all about creating the most value for our customers. That means we are not cheap, but you will get the most value for your money with us. At the beginning of every project, we will give you a costing proposal to make sure your budgetary needs are met.
There are typically three types of projects we get.
1. Co-creating a new course with a subject matter expert that doesn't exist yet.
2. Transforming textbooks or PDFs into online experiences.
3. Taking existing presentations and subject matter experts and creating online experiences.
It doesn't matter where the content comes from, as long as it is yours.
We either find a subject matter expert in your field, or you can supply the subject matter expert of your choosing. Therefore, we are multi-disciplined when it comes to industries we have served. Types of industries we have created online courses for include fashion retail, fast moving consumer goods, finance, information technology, hospitality, sustainability, insurance, logistics, pharmaceutical, health care, religion, forestry, transport, executive business management and many others.
EdTech Collective (or the LD Meetup as it was first called) was started by individuals at Groundflr, in February 2021. The goal was to bring the online learning community in South Africa, together.
Today, it's a broad community of online learning professionals from the best EdTech companies in South Africa. In this community we network, collaborate, celebrate local talent and, crucially, create a space to facilitate conversations that matter – to drive insight, innovation and inclusivity.
EdTech Collective (the Cape Town chapter) is ultimately helping put the Cape Town learning community on the map.
