South Africa's education system has primarily been designed to be face-to-face. The Department of Higher Education has in recent years been forced to move to an online environment. The Skills Development Corporation in Johannesburg has partnered with Groundflr to create online qualifications for their clients and learners.

Groundflr designed and created 5 full qualifications, each one being a total of 150 notional hours of learning. The qualifications are at the National Qualification Framework Levels 4 (National Certificate) and Level 5 (Higher Certificate). The programmes were all designed and developed in Articulate Rise.
